Welcome to South Mississippi Linux Users Group

SMLUG is a group of computer and technology enthusiasts that meets once a month to promote the free and open philosophy and to share ideas and knowledge. Linux is a free and open source operating system developed under the terms of the GNU General Public License (GPL). The GNU General Public License is intended to guarantee your freedom to share and change all versions of a program and to make sure it remains free software for all its users. If you have an interest in learning Linux as a career, or just for personal use, attend the next meeting to find out what the group has to offer.

What's happening at the meeting

The SMLUG meeting for December 2019 will not be beld. Our usual meeting location will be cloased and the BDFL just does not want to deal with the hassle of finding a different meeting venue. Have a safe and enjoyable holiday and let's see everyone in January 2020 for the next meeting.

Seven people were in attendance for the November meeting. General discussions were held which covered topics in Linux. One topic covered command-line commands used to display information about the CPU and memory. John Pierce brought in a custom server build for one of his clients.
